Welcome little one...

Well this is my last card for the day....I have achieved my goals, a 'fathers day' card and a 'baby' card. A work colleague & his wife have just had their first baby and as he is back next week from leave and we will all be in the office for a meeting on Monday so it is the perfect time to give him a little present and a handmade card. I really like this stamp even though it is not really 'my style'. I used it for the first time when my friends daughter had her first baby and it came up lovely so I went with it again this time too.
I have used the latest layout from the crew from CAS(E) this Sketch  and I have realised I really need to buy some 'baby sentiment' stamps as I didn't really have a sentiment that I was happy to use so I created one on my computer.

Well, I hope your weekend is off to a great start...the daughter and I are off to a Fancy Dress 21st party tonight (I don't do fancy dress!!) and I need to go in soon and start getting ready. DD is going as The Queen of Hearts, it's a character she has done before and looked stunning even if I do say so myself....sadly her Mother will not be quite so remarkable. As always, thanks for popping by, until next time, happy stamping.

Happy Fathers Day

Hi All, I just realised Fathers Day is next Sunday!! So lucky for me Addicted To CAS want geometric which fits in with male cards perfectly...so then I went off looking for some 'blokey' colours and came across these which is the latest challenge for Colour Q...awesome! Love when a card just falls into place. Thanks for stopping by...

Happy Birthday

My second card for the day and it's not the 21st card it should be...after going through my stash of cards I realized I had a suitable card made...so off I went on another tangent and made my first card for a new challenge blog I was told about....The Cutting Edge. They want you to follow the photo prompt and use some sort of die on your card and this is my creation. I also like the latest colour combo over at Colour Throwdown which really suited The Cutting Edge's theme. So make sure you pop on over and check out the other great cards created for these challenges and until next time....happy stamping.

Kick Up Your Heels

It's been a few weeks since I have played at my desk and it feels good to be creating. I have been asked to make a 21st birthday card for my young cousin....she is such a lovely girl. Next weekend is a big party to celebrate her special day. I saw an awesome card posted below made by Ros on Pinterest that was so pretty I had to case it and this is my end result. I am very happy with it after a bit of toing and froing....thanks for the inspiration Ros. Well I'm off to make another card for this beautiful girl for us to give to her....thanks for popping in.

Snowflakes...

A quick post this morning before I go to work...I made this card late Saturday but didn't get a chance to post it. Sparkles Christmas Challenge want Snowflakes so I have stamped some snowflakes and punched some snowflakes in the colours that Just Add Ink have in their latest challenge. I like simple Christmas cards because you have to make so many and this one is definitely simple...lol....Hope you all have a great week.

Merry Christmas, Chocolate Baroque inspired....

Ok...so I don't know where this card came from but then again I do because I used the photo inspiration from the very first Chocolate Baroque colour challenge. The thing is this is not a card I would pull out of my hat but I really liked the photo inspiration so I thought I would have a go and this is the end result. I must admit I am very pleased with myself...I know it's a bit basic compared to the ladies that have this style down pat but being my first attempt, the only way is up! lol
Well my stamping Saturday is coming to a close...I hope you all have a great weekend, until next time, happy stamping!

Aussie Christmas

Another Christmas card for my stash...yippee...for this card I used the photo inspiration from Festive Friday, I must admit I really struggle with making Christmas cards with snow and the like as in Australia, Christmas for us is smack bang in the middle of our summer and as a rule it is stinking hot!! A lot of our Christmas days are spent around a swimming pool or even the beach or river, anywhere where we can cool off. So even though I used the photo inspiration I put an Aussie spin too it. I have had this truck for many years and I still love using him as I feel it has an Aussie feel to it. I'm also entering my card to this weeks challenge over at Winter Wonderland  where they have an Anything Goes theme this month. As always, thanks for stopping by...

Winter Wonderland: Anything Goes for Xmas

Merry Christmas

I've decided to just make Christmas cards today and here is one that I started last week and have finally finished. I made the background using my Tombow Markers to colour my stamp as I wanted a soft background. I've used the latest sketch for inspiration from Tuesday Morning Sketches and over at Christmas Cards All Year Round they want bling...whether its glitter, pearls or diamantes anything that sparkles or shines. You can't really see my glitter but it is there and a few diamantes on the sentiment too. Pop on over and play along, I'm off to find another challenge hope your weekend is off to a great start.

Our Beautiful World - Time

Hi All, this weeks theme at Our Beautiful World is TIME...this is a photo of the Town Clock in my city. The dome on top was removed in WW2 so it wouldn't get destroyed if we were bombed and then put back after the war. Another way of showing time is the fact that this building was our Town Post Office until the last decade or so and is now a Boutique Brewery and Restaurant.

This clock is in Venice, it is an amazing clock that shows you the time, date and horoscope sign. What amazed us the most is how old it is and the fact that it shows you all that information.

Another shot of a clock but this one is actually a mime artist (not sure of that is what you call them) and not a statue.
Another way to reflect time is the phases of the moon which this artwork/sculpture in Munich is displaying.

And last but not least...time is shown by aging which this truck has definitely done. It might not be shiny and new anymore but it still presents a lot of character.
Make sure you pop on over to Our Beautiful World and check out the other posts about time or even join in.
