Freshly Made Sketches #54 + DD #22

Hi Stampers, I have crept out to my room while the family are sleeping and whipped up another Xmas card. I really liked Jennifer Brum's card on the Freshly Made Sketches blog and wanted to have a go at making something along that line. While looking for paper I came across this beautiful DP in a 6" Kaisercraft pad called 'Belle Collection' that I picked up recently and haven't had a chance to look at more closely. It's one of those DP's you don't want to use..keep it for a rainy day paper..but I made myself cut it up!! How strong and I...LOL!! Anyway the flower is flocked which makes it pop and the colour is divine which also makes it work for the latest challenge on Dynamic Duos. All you have to do is use Cherry Cobbler + a colour of your choice. So I am off to post this on these two blogs, make sure you pop on over and check out the challenges. Until next time....happy stamping!!

Freshly Made Sketches #54

Hi Stampers...I am back with a xmas card this time, feels good to be adding to my xmas stash. For this design, I used the latest Freshly Made Sketches and the colours were from me!! You can't really see it too well but the red DP is embossed with xmas words to give it a bit more 'body'. Once again another nice and simple card it feels good to go back to basics every now and again. Well, thanks for stopping by, until next time...happy stamping!!

SSC#78 + Colour Q #156

Hi Stampers, I am back with my second card for Sketchbook Saturday Challenge as I really like the simplicity of this layout. This time I have used butterflies + the colour combo of Colour Q's latest challenge.
I am off to look for some more sketches, hope you are having a great Saturday and thanks for stopping by.

Cardabilities #59 + PDCC #150

Hi Stampers, for today's card I have used the latest design from Cardabilities...I think this is the first time I have ever made a card using their design and I will definitely be back. For colour I have used the latest Play Date Cafe colour combo. I seem to be in a bit of a 'flowery' mood of late, it's funny how things go in cycles... anyway, thanks for stopping.

SSC #78 + DD #21 + LIM #86

Hi Stampers, the card I made today is nice and simple...love it!! For design I have used the latest Sketchbook Saturday layout and for colour inspiration I have used the latest Dynamic Duo combo which is Monochromatic for week 4 and which we were asked to use Always Artichoke + Certainly Celery. I wasn't sure if I wanted to do these colours but after seeing the layout on Sketchbook Saturday I thought they would work really well with it and they have. I even dug out some SU stamps I haven't used in a very long time which always makes you feel that bit better..lol. I am also able to add this card to the latest Less is More challenge where it is to take 3 of the previous challenges they have had. For this I was able to use week 6 - Off the edge, week 18 - Monochrome and week 33 - Anything Goes. Hope you like my card and thanks for stopping by...until next time, happy stamping.

Hi All, I have added to my Christmas Card collection today by using the latest Merry Monday sketch and the latest colour/theme challenge from 52 Christmas Card Thowdown which was 'Present's. I wasn't sure if this card was going to work out for a while there but I am happy with the end result.

LIM #85 + DD #20

Hi Stampers, I have been able to sneak back for a quick card this afternoon because I see the lovely ladies from Less is More have changed the closing times on their challenges which is really good for us Aussies who only get to play on a weekend and usually miss out posting a card..thank you ladies!! I am so excited about it I have whipped up this card with a young girl in mind for one of my daughters school friends as she is  always asking me for a birthday card at the last minute. I really like the concept of this card so I think I will make a few more with just a bit of variant to it. The Less is More challenge was to use an oval on your card...check...and on Dynamic Duos the colour theme is green/lime + black...check!! Simple as...gotta love that. Anyway, I am off to organise dinner, hope you all have a great week. Until next time...happy stamping.

IBSIC #26 + Colour Q #154

Hi Fellow Stampers, I didn't quite get this card finished yesterday so I have stolen a bit of time today in between chores to complete it. For inspiration I used the latest sketch from Inspired by Stamping and for colour I have used this weeks Colour Q challenge. I felt this wasn't working for me while I was putting this card together but since putting a bit of bling on it I am quite happy with it. Well that's it for me until next weekend when I will be on holidays for 2 weeks so you can guess what my intentions are for a lot of that time...stamping, stamping, stamping!! woohoo can't get any better than that. Until then, happy stamping.

Mojo #258

Hi All, I am off and running with my first card for the day. For this card I have used the latest Mojo Monday design shown below and some new DP for colour inspiration. I wanted my card to have neutral tonings with just a splash of colour. Once again I have turned to my new stamp & die set from Prickly Pear, the set  has this little bird in it and I really like him and can see him being a long time favourite. Thanks for stopping by....

Freshly Made Sketches #51

Hi Stampers, I am back with my second card for the day. I had to make a birthday card for my nephew who is turning...18...had to think about that....wow that's scary, how time flies!! My internet was down for a while there so I was looking through the docrafts Creativity magazine for inspiration and I came across Martin's cards, click on his name and check out his gallery. I really liked his blue black & grey card that is featured in the magazine and I thought that would be nice for a male card so I used that colour combo and for design I have used the latest Freshly Made Sketches recipe. Well I am off to get ready for the football...its finals time and our local team has made it through. Go the Cowboys!!
Thanks for stopping by, love to read your comments if you have time to leave one.
Until next time, happy stamping,

My New Craft Room Part 2

As I promised, I am back with photos of my new craft room!! If you remember, this room is actually inside our new shed. I get 1/3 & my hubby got 2/3's. I cannot believe I actually have my very own space...I am sooooo lucky!! I also want to thank all the talented men who have made my room a reality especially my husband & my Dad. My Dad built the wall frames then called in all his tradie mates to do their thing and my cousin gave up a couple of Saturdays to put my air conditioner in then when it was all finished my awesome hubby laid the flooring which I think is absolutely amazing!! I am even lucky enough to have room for a big board room table for when my friends come over for a play day which will happen in the not too distant future.

And here is my workstation.....I actually have two!!! I also have a great cupboard to put all my stuff in and when I am finished I can just close the door so you can't see it!!! To give you an idea of why I am so excited about hiding my stuff here is a pic of my old stamping space below...looks more like a bomb has hit the desk than a creative space.

Obviously I need to still decorate my room and I have some ideas for my 'feature wall' but here is my first bit of decorating. I picked up these little card holders in Target a few months ago and after my hubby put them up for me the first cards to go on them are from my good friend Robyn who is in Western Australia for a couple of years. She sends me a card each month to say 'hello' so needless to say they were the first cards to go up. (Miss you Rob)

Well that's about it, thank you for stopping by and thank you to all the ladies out there that posted pics of their craft space as it really helps you to get some good ideas of what you might want in your room, hopefully there might be something here that will help another crafter out there when planning their craft room. Well, I am off to make a card, hope you are having an awesome creative day....until next time....happy stamping!!

Less is More #83 Brown & Pink

Hi All, well it has been a while since I have actually had a Stamping Saturday AND this is my very first Stamping Saturday in my brand new craft room!!! Woohoo!! I will post some pics of my completed room shortly so make sure you come back and check it out. Now, back to my card...two of my work colleagues got married over the last couple of weeks, I know I am a bit late but I am 1600kms away from them so I think they will cut me a bit of slack. For this card I got inspiration from Chrissie from 'Less is More' but sadly again I am too late to post it on their blog. The theme was pink & brown which I think is quite pretty and one of the cards that Chrissie made for the challenge helped me to create this card, thanks Chrissie.
