Hi All, I made this card a few weeks ago for the March Card Chain Challenge over at Society of Stampholics. I sent my card to Jutta from Alberta, Canada. I used a new bird die I had bought recently and made the background with DI's in soft pinks with a dash of lavender. Make sure you pop on over to Deborah's blog and join in...it's fun and they are calling for players for April's Card Chain.

Today I'm playing along with this months Tim Holtz's 12 tags of 2015 and our local ABC Tag/Card Challenge. I'm a bit ahead of time as I'm now up to the letter 'E' in the ABC challenge so I've tied it in with Tim's butterfly tag with an Elegant Butterfly.
I didn't have a letter stencil so I have used some glitter letters that I had on hand...love using 'old' stuff. I also got to use some 'new' stuff...which was my new Cogs (die set). My tassel is also off a perfume bottle that I had squirreled away for a rainy day which turned out to be today even though the sun is shining brightly...<grin> Well, thanks for popping by and hope your weekend is off to a great start. Until next time, happy stamping...

Merry Monday to see what their latest challenge was...use RED & GREEN....easy!! I also like the latest challenge over at Muse so there you have it....2 more Christmas cards (nice and CAS so I made 2) for my small stash.
Thanks for popping in...
Thanks for popping in...
Well it's been a couple of weeks since I have sat at my desk after massive changes at work (a lot of them not good) has taken my mojo and left me feeling rather drained but today I feel good and it's great to be sitting at my desk playing with paper and ink while skyping with my friend Robyn. I actually stamped this image last time I was playing but didn't get around to making something with it so today I have used the latest CAS(E) this Sketch challenge and created a nice soft & fresh card.
Thanks for stopping in, hope your weekend is off to a great start...

Happy Saturday Peeps! It is terribly hot here in Far North Oz! So my friend Robyn & I are locked away in my craft room with the Air Conditioner on...it's that bad we dread walking outside for whatever reason. Anyhoo...back to my card. Today I have made a special card for our neighbour who is 50 and having a party tonight to celebrate.
I have made an easel card for her, I don't make them too often but I felt it needed to be a bit extra special for a milestone birthday and I have used the latest sketch from Cardabilities for my layout and I have just let my DP determine my colour combo.
I'm also really happy to be able to use my new stamp set Sparkle & Shine with matching die from WPlus9....I really love their stamps, they stamp so nice and I have been itching to use this set. I tell you this card has everything...well for me anyway as I gravitate to CAS cards. I not only have background stamping (the text) I've also added some texture paste that I coloured (this is huge for me lol) then layered with lace, leaves and flowers, it's just all happening. lol. Well I'm off to make an envelope for my card, hope your weekend is off to a great start, until next time....happy stamping.

Hello Fellow Crafty friends, I was able to spend most of my Saturday with my good friend Robyn who is in town at the moment which was the highlight of my weekend. For this stamping Saturday, I took up the challenge from the DT at Just Add Ink who had the photo inspiration below to work with and the latest sketch from Try Stampin' on Tuesday. I was also lucky enough to be able to use a new Happy Birthday stamp from Close to my Heart and Robyn's 'heart' dies. It's nice and CAS but I'm really happy with the end result. Hope you have all had a great weekend and thanks for popping in.

- Well I'm on a roll today! Now I am even further ahead of our ABC challenge. I have made my 'D' tag using the latest Tim Holtz February Challenge as my layout.
For this theme I have chosen 'Destination' and I chose to do a male orientated Tag. I love this ship stamp and I'm so happy my 'This is the Life' sentiment stamped perfectly onto my Mod Podge coating that I had applied before I thought about stamping the sentiment on. It actually brought it up so crisp and I am wrapped!
Well, I think that's it for me today. I hope your weekend has had a great start and I'll catch you next time.
ABC Challenge - 'D'
I know I'm a bit early but I have made my 'C' tag for our little ABC Challenge that my friend Robyn is running. As you can probably tell my theme for 'C' is COLOUR!
I picked some bright DI colours (Fired Brick-Broken China-Mustard Seed-Dusty Concord) and blotched them onto my card making sure the colours didn't mix too much. After letting them dry I stamped some chevrons with Weathered Wood just to give the background some body.
I've then stamped my sentiment and die cut it with an Oval die and layered it onto a scalloped oval die....added some sequins (first time using them!) and a bit of fairy glitter to the paint brushes (even though it went every where else too) to give it a bit of a lift.
Thanks for stopping by....until next time, happy stamping.

I/We don't really do Valentines Day but if I'm organised enough every now and again I get hubby a little something even if it's just a card....so I guess this year he will at least be getting a card. I really like the latest layout over at Cardabilities but then again I usually do <grin> and as it had hearts on it I thought I would make it for my beloved and luckily Just Add Ink had a great colour combo that would suit a male Valentine Card....so here is my card! I haven't really 'blinged' it up as even though it is a male card he likes things to be minimal even though I had to fight the urge to add more...lol...
Well I'm off to surf for another challenge, thanks for popping in.

Well I struggled with this tag...started another one but had to to bin it....lol...it just wasn't working. We're up to the letter B in our ABC Tag Challenge so something starting with B had to be your theme and I chose Beauty which meant I wanted soft colours.
And soft colours means flowers...hehe....love my flowers. I had created this background with DI's previously so I cut a tag out of that which then influenced what colours I was going to use.
I also had to print my text as I didn't have a stamp with the saying I wanted to use. I then created a 'mirror' for the 'beauty' and dressed it up with flowers and flourishes and coloured my ribbon with DI's.
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Australia Day weekend to all my Aussie peeps. Until next time.....happy stamping.
For today's card I'm playing along with the latest challenge from CAS(E) this Sketch. It's a great sketch with so many options....as always my first thoughts are flowers and such but I made myself take a step back and think differently, so I've ended up with a male card. I used to struggle with male cards but am now finding them much easier to make even if I do lean towards black a lot. Which is why my car has been stamped onto some previously made DI background paper. Thanks for stopping in...
